Vol. 21 No. 1 (2026): General Issue
Dear Readers,
We are pleased to publish the first issue of 2026. These eleven articles represent the beginning of the 21st year of production of the Journal of Rural and Community Development. The subjects and geographies are diverse. Subjects include rural youth, aging, service delivery (health care, child care, veterinary), capacity building, mining, agriculture, fishing, and climate change. Geographies include Canada, Poland, Afghanistan, Argentina, Brazil, Nigeria, and Ethiopia.
We are now averaging about 10,000 abstract/article downloads per month. This is exciting and overwhelming. We also look forward to publishing a special issue on rural philanthropy later this year. Thanks for all of your support. We all appreciate it.
