Abstract

This article discusses the evolution of a call centre cluster in the context of regional development policy towards peripheral regions in developed nations. Based on a case study on call centre clustering in a peripheral region in Sweden we suggest that although threatened by global pressure, there is an underutilised potential in peripheral regions in the industrialised countries.
